(Clive, IA) -- Time is running out for the person who bought a valuable Mega Millions ticket last September to come forward. The Iowa Lottery says someone purchased a ticket for the September 6, 2022 drawing in Ames, and that ticket is worth $1 million. Mary Neubauer of the Iowa Lottery says the ticket was purchased at The Filling Station/Gateway Express, 2400 University Blvd. in Ames. She says according to the retailer, it was a busy Labor Day holiday weekend because Iowa State had hosted its season-opening football game against Southeast Missouri State.
